February Skincare Favorites

Did you know I’ve been blogging since I was 18? I started my blog nearly 5 years ago. At 22, I’m one of the youngest OG’s in the industry! With that being the case, I’ve been lucky enough to receive tons of beauty products in the mail ranging from expensive to drug-store prices. So I’d like to think my opinion is pretty credible at this point! I wanted to share the skincare products I’ve been recently using and loving.

To give you some context, I suffer from a dry, flakey scalp in the winter and also have pretty dry skin on my face and body. These products really do work wonders.

February Skincare Favorites: Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask

Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask

I love this mask. It is so great for dry or dull skin. I put on a thick layer for about 15-20 mins and use a warm wash cloth to take the excess off. It actually exfoliates very gently so if you use it as a base under your makeup and then rub your face, you’ll get skin piling. However, it is gentle enough to wear as a nighttime moisturizer and then rinse off in the morning before applying makeup. This tube is the standard size and has lasted for a while (considering I put copious amounts of this stuff on my face).

Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser

I love this face wash, I use it morning and night. It is so gentle and has literally no scent so it never stings my eyes or irritates my skin. If you’re looking for an inexpensive face wash, I would definitely go with this one. It’s foamy and does the job well!

Oway Purifying Hair Bath for Dry Scalp

Interesting backstory on this one. So most of us forget about our scalp when thinking about skincare. I’ve struggled for the past five years with horrible dermatitis in my scalp during the colder months of the year. It’s something I’ve been very insecure about and would try anything to fix. I had heard about these Japanese scalp facials and wanted to try one. There is an organic salon called Blow Me Away in West Hollywood that I went to and they used this on my scalp during the facial. It is the only thing that has worked for me and beats all medicated ointments, shampoos, and foams prescribed by dermatologists. I’ve been washing my hair more frequently (every other day) with this shampoo (really focusing on scrubbing my scalp) and my dermatitis is finally under control. This product is a lifesaver.

Ouai Body Cleanser

When I think of Ouai I immediately go to hair care. Jen Atkin was the Kardashian’s hair stylist who then started her own product line. I love their dry shampoo, and this body wash is next level. Legit this smells UNREAL. People all day ask me what I have on… It’s literally this body wash. It is the perfect consistency and it foams and is just heaven. I’m eager to try Ouai’s other body products. Their Chill Pill bath bombs are too cute! Oh and I will def be buying more of this!

Summer Fridays CC Me Serum

Yes, I’m addicted to Summer Fridays products, and yes they truly live up to the hype. I use this serum morning and night before applying my moisturizer. It is packed with antioxidants, and the best part about Summer Fridays is that they are clean beauty brand, meaning you can feel really good about each product because they are essentially free of all the bad stuff. This serum helps with discoloration and dark spots and it doesn't irritate my skin. It actually leaves my face looking dewy on it’s own. A must in my opinion.

Kiehl’s Creamy Avocado Eye Treatment

First off, can we talk abut my pruney after-shower fingers!? LOL. So I used this product a few years back, loved it, ran out, and didn’t repurchase (idk why). I recently got sent another one in a blogger gifting and I can’t stop using it. The key to your concealer not creasing is by using a good cream before application, to prime your under eyes. This is the key. It’s unscented, gentle, and will not sting your eyes if it gets in them. I use it at night too! FYI: Make sure you use it on dry skin if you’re going to use it under your makeup because it goes on differently on wet skin. This little baby jar has lasted me for a couple months now and I’ve still got plenty! All you need is a little pea-sized drop under each eye!

Well, that completes my favorite skincare products at the moment! I love trying new products and would love to hear your recommendations too! Comment below or DM me on IG :)
